Corinne Art & Boutique Hotel

General Information

  Located in a historical building that combines the cultural and social richness of Istanbul with modern comfort, “Corinne Art & Boutique Hotel” takes its name from the famous opera singer Madam Corinne, who lived in Çukurcuma during the Republic period and supported the national struggle. In 2013, it has a real Boutique Hotel certificate that only 6 facilities in Istanbul have.

  This building, one of the most beautiful examples of Ottoman Neo-Classical architecture, was built in 1911 as both a residence and a registry office. This building, which is currently used as a hotel, was designed by Mimar Kemaleddin Bey, one of the important architects of the Ottoman and Republic periods. His memory is still kept alive today with his statue in Izmir and his portrait on 20 lira banknotes. The 1907 stamps of this building, built with fire bricks, still maintain their originality.
